The collapsed brick shell still stands on Money Road. The lynching of Till and his mother Mamie Till-Mobley's decision to hold an open-casket funeral became a moral hinge for the civil rights movement. The Emmett Till Interpretive Center in nearby Sumner curates the surrounding sites.
