Training: $500–$1,500. Certification fee: $200–$500. Annual recertification: $100–$200.

Liability insurance through DoulaCover or Childbirth Educators of America. $300–$500/year.
Marketing
Instagram and word of mouth in Black Mama spaces. Build relationships with OB-GYNs and midwives at Black-women-friendly clinics.
