Plan a Tougaloo Civil Rights Pilgrimage

A weekend trip through Mississippi civil rights sites.

Day 1 — Tougaloo and Jackson

Tougaloo College Civil Rights Archives. Mississippi Civil Rights Museum and Two Mississippi Museums campus in Jackson. Lunch at Big Apple Inn (pig-ear sandwiches).

Day 2 — Money + Sumner + Greenwood

Drive to Money for the Bryant's Grocery ruins. On to Sumner for the Emmett Till Interpretive Center. End in Greenwood for the SNCC Field Office historical marker.

Day 3 — Mound Bayou + return

Tour Mound Bayou — the all-Black town founded in 1887. Optional stop in Cleveland for the GRAMMY Museum Mississippi. Return to Jackson.
